Productivity Hacks that can Help You Get Noticed by Your Boss

We are all looking for ways to enhance our performance, to be more productive, with the ultimate aim of impressing our supervisor and enhancing our career as well. Here are a few tips on how to get more done.

How Can I Be More Productive?

1. Set your own deadlines

Usually, the deadlines for getting work done are given to us by our supervisor. They are imposed from without. To ramp up your productivity, be more proactive and set your own deadlines. Turning in your work before it is due is certain to impress your manager.

2. Pay attention to time

To be most productive, we need to make the best use of our time. Time is finite and we should not waste it. To make sure you are getting the most from your time, keep a record of what you do during the day and how long it takes to do each task. This will help you identify when you are wasting time and how to better plan your day.
Also, try to manage your time better. Schedule your tasks for a specific time and plan how long you are going to work on each one.

3. Focus on strengths

Your strengths are things you are good at, areas where your skills are strong and knowledge deep. To improve your productivity, you need to lean on your strengths, to focus on making the best use of them, rather than just working to improve your weaknesses.
You will make progress much faster by focusing on your strengths.

4. Establish priorities

Some people simply work on tasks as they pop up, without regard to how important or urgent they are. To increase efficiency, however, you need to set priorities, to work on the important stuff first, and leave the minor, routine stuff for later.

5. One thing at a time

Don’t try to multitask. It just doesn’t work. Research has proven this. You need to focus on just one task at a time.

6. Do a daily review

At the end of each day, set aside ten or fifteen minutes to review your day. Consider your activities for the day and what went well, what did not go as planned, and what you can change.
