Lucy Somme was born and raised in Portland, OR. After graduating from high school she spent some time living abroad in Italy where she found a passion for studying the arts. After traveling, she went on to graduate from UofO with an art history degree and moved back to Portland to start her family and career. She now lives in the Portland area with her husband and two kids. She enjoys camping, Duck games and traveling with her friends and family. Lucy has been working at Opti Staffing Group since 2007. She started as an administrative assistant in our Portland branch. She now is our Director of Research and Marketing and manages our research, marketing and business development department. “I love being a part of the Opti Family! I recently moved to Washington from California and enjoy being surrounded by the nature as well as experiencing the seasonal changes throughout the year. I have a cat named Kaiyo, she is a so sweet and is very precious to me. Some interests of mine include art, skating, music, fashion, nature, animals, and watching anime. I enjoy working behind the scenes in the research department. I like how small the research department is and how closely we work together as a team. I am also part of the marketing team at Opti, I enjoy contributing and having the freedom and space to be creative and share my ideas when it comes to projects and designs, we are working on. Lastly, I enjoy the people I work with. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. It makes the work environment enjoyable to be around.
