Trust. It’s a word many people talk about, but few make a real commitment to it. That’s because it’s not easy to earn. It takes time. It takes effort. It takes genuine caring and communication. It takes honesty.
At Opti Staffing, building trust is what we are all about. We take the time, we build the relationships, we get to know our candidates and our clients, all in an effort to build up that trust. They trust us to do the best we can for them, and we work hard every day to be worthy of that trust.
One of our top-flight team members is Christian Moellman, a skilled trades recruiter in Portland. He knows all about trust, and he talks about his job and what he does to build relationships that last.
What is your favorite part about working for Opti Staffing?
My favorite part about working is the fact that every day has new challenges. One day you could be meeting with a new client discussing solutions and then the next day spend time working on filling that need. We also get to really understand how the businesses that we partner with work. We have a direct impact on both clients and candidates, which to me is very satisfying.
Do you have a favorite Opti tradition you could highlight?
My favorite tradition is when we do the OptiBucks buildup to the holiday party, as well as the auction with those OptiBucks at the holiday party. Things get a bit crazy, but everyone still ends up with some great gifts.
What makes Opti unique?
I think what makes Opti unique is the fact that we do things our way and do business in a way that really helps both candidates and clients. I think also that each branch has its own vibe, that makes things fun when we all come together.
Tell us about your favorite moment helping an Opti client or candidate.
There are many moments that were favorites, but one really stands out. We had a candidate that we placed about 10 years ago, and came back in to look for his next position after his company moved locations. We tried for months to find something perfect for him, but could not. He found a position on his own, and quickly knew he was not a good fit out there. We re-engaged to see what we could find and had a new company that we were working with that had an opening. He went in, aced the interview and started two weeks later. It has been two years now, and he is still there and moving up the ranks. To know that he wanted to still use us after we could not find him something was one of my proudest days.
What does your perfect day look like?
The perfect day is one where things go as planned, which is very rare for sure.
