Raised right here in the Pacific Northwest, Colodious has committed to finding the right path to leaving a valuable Legacy for not just his family and friends, but the world. A big advocate for giving back to his community, found him working at a non-profit for 8 years in the Seattle area. There he learned how to effectively lead, inspire and communicate with passion and conviction. He’s a father of 3, and a husband to a fantastic wife. Nothing motivates him more than chasing his Legend and the need to do great things. Thinking big is his motto. Acting even bigger is his plan. He understands that helping in the right way, is key to lasting change and because of this understanding, it has led him to OPTI Staffing. He understands that the idea of himself and other’s will continue to change as he grows and experiences different things in life. He has one goal right now, and that is to make Opti staffing, the leader in the industry when It comes to recruiting so buckle up. “If you’re going to do something, do it to be Legendary! Because if you can then you must!”
After 10 years in Texas Nathan decided that it was time to come home. Thankfully, Opti was there to welcome him with open arms when he arrived. He expected Xtratuffs and Carharts, but suits and ties are way more his style.
Working as an Operations recruiter lets Nathan do his favorite thing, have interesting conversations with interesting people and businesses. Being able to find work for people who are looking for it, and find the right people for businesses who need them has been extremely rewarding. Success is built off of connecting the exception and original businesses and individuals of Alaska.
He learned to walk on the ferry to Unalaska, and grew up on that beautiful Aleutian island. Now that he’s back in the Land of the Midnight Sun he tries to spend as much time as he can hiking and getting out in the beautiful wilderness.
Maureen grew up in the small town of Kimberton outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, she had incredible opportunities to travel, work and surf in Costa Rica, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii and Thailand for several years as a Divemaster/Scuba Instructor and in the hospitality industry. She eventually moved on to working on private yachts before moving to Alaska in the late summer of 2017 and quickly settled in as an Operations Recruiter at Opti Staffing Group. The daughter of two entrepreneurs, Maureen sincerely understands how invaluable an excellent employee is to an employer. She loves the thrill of making the connection between companies and candidates all over Alaska and helping all parties involved become the best they can be.

As a native Oregonian, Jesse came to Opti with a strong background in Outside and Inside Sales, a focus on new business development and Account Management. His passion for building meaningful relationships with clients and candidates is what fuels his dedication and success as a Direct Hire Executive Recruiter. “There’s not a more rewarding experience than creating an amazing opportunity, building on this, and facilitating the success of both a candidate finding a great career, and a solid company bringing on someone who they’re truly excited about.” When Jesse isn’t Opti focused, he enjoys rock climbing, fly fishing, playing music and exploring the outdoors with his lovely wife and his one year old Golden Retriever.
Georgia peach at heart! I made my way to the Northwest right after high school with only my dog and no plans. I have found my joy through meditation, yoga, reading, and taking long hikes. Somewhere along all of my adventures I have found Opti Staffing Group. Every day I work to be the best version of myself, and I strive to bring a smile to the faces of all that I meet. Although I have not been here long, I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with such a great group of people; and I see myself going far with Opti.

When I started my career at Opti Staffing I had no idea what “HR” stood for, yet I was excited about the prospect to learn new skills while also dominating a new and challenging industry. Growing up on Kodiak island gave me knowledge of a truly Alaskan lifestyle, yet after 20 years of thriving in that environment it was time to see what the rest of Alaska had to offer. I had been living in Anchorage for one year before finding this company, and the determination linked with a desire to provide excellent service I saw in this Anchorage office made it clear to me that this is where I belong and where I can thrive. I am excited to see where this company can take me and how I am developing into a key part of the Skilled Trades branch of this AMAZING Anchorage office! I enjoy building strong and lasting relationships with all types of people and am excited for the relationships we are developing here in our office!
Royale came to Opti on the heels of her recent return to Alaska. After calling Brooklyn New York home for 12 years, she returned to her hometown of Anchorage and is excited to be here. Once a former Opti candidate, Royale’s then-recruiter recommended her for the recruiter’s soon to be vacant position. Her favorite part of the job is the variety of awesome connections (clients and candidates) that she makes on a daily basis. Royale truly believes that “when you win, we win” and that belief fuels her success in building relationships vs. chasing the dollar. When she isn’t busy making awesome client/candidate connections, you can find her enjoying being on Auntie Duty, serving in The Army National Guard, singing in church, or in a local fitness class cycling.
In 2006 I began my career with Opti Staffing Group in Anchorage, Alaska. With the amazing tools and resources Opti provides to its recruiters I have been able to successfully place highly skilled candidates into temporary/contract/ and permanent positions in a wide variety of industries. Through my career I have met many great people and have had the pleasure of creating and offering life changing opportunities to Alaska & Washington’s top-notch candidates.

“After his failed attempt at becoming a supermodel because of his perfectly chiseled jawline, Gabriel worked in Construction as an HVAC Tech for almost 5 years. He then realized that he desired something much more out of life and himself for that matter, and stumbled upon the recruiting industry by accident. Gabriel is currently seeking to disrupt the recruiting industry in the Vancouver Area, as he believes that there is nothing more rewarding than finding someone the perfect job, and finding a company the perfect person.“ I really love what I do. My favorite thing is to be a RELIABLE resource for people in the Vancouver area. Something people can anchor to and trust that Opti will be the company that assists them in making the next move in their life. Finding a new position can already be nerve-racking, and I am here to put people’s minds at ease while they make that transition.”
“Terrell spent most of his life as a San Diego, CA resident. Football took him to UC Berkeley where he was a student athlete graduating as a Sociology Major. Following his dream to continue sports, he spent a few seasons on the practice squad with the San Francisco 49ers, then played 3 years professionally in Bologna, Italy. He then moved back to San Diego and spent 6 years there working in the online marketing trade. A little over a year ago he wanted to create change for his family and decided to move to the Pacific Northwest and landed in Vancouver, WA where he now calls home. He started with Opti Staffing Group in March of 2016 and has not looked back.“Opti Staffing has been the backbone to helping create a solid foundation for me and my family. “Loving working at Opti Staffing Group since 2012. Being part of this amazing organization allows me to help people secure a better future for themselves as well as their families. I also really like the philanthropy work that we do and feel as strongly as the organization does about giving back. I enjoy working with everyone at Opti Staffing Group so much and consider them to be part of my extended family. I come in everyday with a smile on my face and leave with an even bigger one. I’m one of the select few people in society that can truly say that I love what I do. The everyday connections and bonds that I’m able to build are turning to be lifetime connections. I can say that I’m very proud to have the fortune of working at Opti Staffing. The owners of the organization do a phenomenal job of keeping consistent with creating a rewarding, fun, and exciting culture.”
Michelle hails from the great state of Alaska. That being said she is resourceful, friendly, expedient, and has a great sense of humor. Her career history has always been in sales and therefore has a specialty for connecting with people, developing relationships, and being on point with her clients! She can talk to anybody and find a common ground. These are the traits that make her a great recruiter and give her the ability to successfully connect client and candidate for a long lasting placement. When Michelle isn’t changing lives she enjoys spending time with her family attending her boys’ football, basketball, lacrosse, even the occasional airsoft game along with hiking, biking, and cooking.
One day I decided to pack up my truck and drive across the country from Atlanta to Seattle. Upon arriving I came across Opti-Staffing as a prospective candidate looking for a great opportunity, and after interviewing I was offered the greatest opportunity I could ask for, the opportunity to help others find great jobs. Nothing makes me happier than connecting a great person with a company that they can consider a home away from home like I do with Opti. I love where I work, and most importantly who I work with. I don’t have coworkers, I have an Opti family. Our team is so positive and energetic, and it makes every day a great one! In my free time I enjoy hiking, driving my truck through the mountains, and anything sports related.
I am born and raised in Seattle, and have never lived anywhere else. My wife and I live in Bellevue, which is a perfect location for us. We live near all of our friends and family, and love taking advantage of all that the Northwest has to offer. Like the rest of my family, I graduated from the University of Washington, and am a huge Huskies fan. In my free time, I coach high school basketball, which is a passion of mine. I love helping kids develop both on and off the court, and it is so amazing to see my former players as they get older and grow into young adults. Since graduating from college, I have had a number of jobs, but none that I really loved – until I started at Opti. This amazing culture that has been established is what I’ve been looking for. I love being able to help so many people every day – the satisfaction that comes from making that perfect fit drives me to work every day. I work with the best team, and I love coming to work and learning more every day.
“Christian grew up in Chicago, and left in 2008 to continue a career in the printing industry. He started with Opti Staffing Group in 2012 as a Skilled Trades Recruiter. When he is not making connections with clients and candidates, he enjoys downhill skiing, fly fishing and old Volkswagens. He graduated from Northern Michigan University with a History degree. “What I love most about working at Opti Staffing Group is the impact that we have people. Whether it is helping someone improve their resume, or giving them some interview tips, it all helps build your community. Nothing is better than making the call to a candidate to offer his or her dream job. Seeing that person grown into a management role and becoming a client is extremely satisfying.”
Dylan’s Opti story starts way back in 2009, when he was candidate placed by Opti’s Lake Oswego office at a Steel fabrication company. After getting hired on by that company after 90 days, he spent the next 5 years out there. It was a great fit and it provided him an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in the manufacturing world. After taking some time off and spending the summer of 2015, hiking, kayaking, camping, and fishing, he popped into Opti’s Northeast Portland location to begin the hunt for new employment. After speaking with two recruiters, he accepted an offer to join Opti as a Skilled Trades Recruiter. Not only does he get the opportunity to work in the field that he is most familiar with, he gets to help people find a job that will allow them to thrive and grow. Dylan love’s his job and the connections that are made doing what he does. He never takes what he does for granted because he knows what it means to be on the other side of the desk!
After two years of community college, Sam didn’t know what to do with himself educationally, so he took a year to work and wound up doing phone-based customer service. When he went back to school, he kept working, moving from doing customer service on phone payments to doing customer service for Powell’s Books, which was much more fun. As he got closer to finishing, he figured out what he really wanted to do was sales. He applied to be a recruiter at another staffing firm during that process, and casually mentioned that to his godfather, who turned out to be an Opti client, and referred him to Katie. He met with Katie, and then with Greg, and two weeks later started work on the SE Trades desk. Sam loves what he does because it makes such a profound difference in people’s lives and every day is a new and different challenge. There’s never a dull moment here.
Lynz is originally from Portland, but spent the majority of her life in the sunny state of Florida. She moved back to the Pacific Northwest two years ago and hasn’t looked back. She loves working with the local community, with both candidates and clients, and putting together the puzzle pieces that a good hire entails. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her two “children”- Olivia Jane, a mini Australian shepherd, and Stout, a Manchester Terrier.
Gregory Spunt, CPC, CTS
Greg comes from the frozen north of Buffalo, New York, but has called the beautiful Pacific Northwest home for the past 4+ years. With a background in business to business sales, new business development, full cycle recruiting, customer service, client retention, training management, and team building, he has a varied skill set that allows him to effectively impact the bottom line of any project. Greg started at Opti as an Operations Recruiter, building a thriving client base before transitioning to the Vancouver branch as its first manager. Since being tapped to take over the Northeast Portland office after the successful launch in Vancouver, Greg has been busy building lasting relationships with clients and candidates alike. His favorite part of the job is getting the opportunity to peer into the operations of some of the most interesting companies in the area, and working to truly understand and partner with those organizations to help everyone involved achieve their goals. When he isn’t busy connecting people with their dream opportunities, you can find him relaxing with his dog, playing guitar and watching the Buffalo Bills miss the playoffs while dreaming of future Super Bowl wins.
Nathan Houston, CPC, CTS
I have been with Opti Staffing for over 7 years now and I love it! The relationships we have the opportunity to develop with both candidates and customers is truly something special. We impact people’s lives daily and that is incredible. We put people first and that will always be the motto. We don’t try and make our customers or candidates fit in to our box, we fit in to yours. That business philosophy is part of what makes it so great to work here at Opti. We specialize in finding people careers, not just another job. We are passionate about what we do and you will feel that when you step foot in any of our offices. Give us a call or come by our office so you can hear or see that passion first hand!
I am a full cycle recruiter on the skilled trades desk here in Lake Oswego. I love doing what we do at Opti Staffing, because I love meeting with businesses, identifying needs, then meeting with candidates and matching their skill sets together. We help drive business forward, companies grow, and workers find better careers and better lives. I love the role Opti fills in our local economy, and it’s a real source of pride to travel around the area and see the actual impact our partners have and the knowledge that I get to share a small part of that. I also love hearing from both candidates and clients that we are by far the best staffing agency they’ve ever worked with, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
My name is Ryan Codling and I am a Skilled Trades Recruiter over here at Opti Staffing Group in the Lake Oswego branch. I have been with Opti for almost three years and couldn’t imagine a better position to be in. I invest my time in the manufacturing industry providing our clients with top tier candidates who can be a part of a company’s overall success and also supply candidates with excellent, career long opportunities with a chance to grow in the work force as well as their personal lives. Being able to take stress away from our clients in the hiring process as well as changing the lives of our candidates is the most rewarding aspect of working here at Opti. It is an honor to be a part of the Opti Staffing family!
My name is Amber O’Donnell and I am a born and raised Oregonian. I love the northwest, it allows me to spend my time camping and riding off road vehicles. I am an only child and come from a small family. I have two children, 21 & 14 and am a grandmother of 2 granddaughters. Most of all I love to make people laugh, it makes my day to put a smile on someone’s face. Being an operations Recruiter at Opti Staffing is very rewarding and never gets old! Helping people is something I love to do.
Jes has worked for Opti Staffing Group for just under a year as an Operations recruiter with our Tacoma branch. Born and raised in the Finger Lakes region of New York state, she has been a Washingtonian since 2011 and has found a true home in the beautiful PNW. She is a graduate of Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science; go Eags! Following her passions for people and wellness, Jes came to Opti with a fire beneath her feet to network, learn and anticipate needs for the Tacoma business community and beyond. She enjoys coming to the office every day to meet new candidates, create lasting relationships with clients, and putting great tunes on the office radio, even if her coworkers may question her musical tastes at times. “I believe that every single interaction, big or small, is an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s day, clients, coworkers, and candidates alike. One achievement I am particularly proud of thus far with Opti is creating a link with a local non-profit organization that provides pre-employment education and readiness to people from all walks of life. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting their program graduates and introducing them to our candidate-centric processes here at Opti Staffing Group. For me, being a recruiter has given me an entirely new outlet to help those around me chase their dreams. There is truly nothing better than seeing a candidate get to the end of their working interview with a client and hearing that they are being officially hired. After all, working gives purpose to many people and the perfect job can alter their lives in a big way; how wonderful it is to be that matchmaker.”
I began my career with Opti Staffing Group in November of 2015 when I was interviewing for a temporary position. As fate would have it our Vice President overheard my interview and thought I would make a great Recruiter. I happily applied for the internal position and the rest is history! I wake up each morning with the goal to positively change someone’s life before my day is over. My previous employment experience was in the Debt Collections field, so there is nothing more rewarding than going from taking food off of people’s table to helping put food back on people’s table. I strive hard to learn all of my client’s and candidate’s goals, then becoming a valuable resource to help them achieve those goals, even if it doesn’t directly benefit my goals. As I approach reaching my 2 year mark with Opti, I am confident that I can be a great consultant for each and every client & candidate that I build a partnership with.
Jamal joined the Opti family in 2015, as a skilled trades recruiter, where he strives to reach his ultimate goal to help others in need and can honestly say that “I am truly happy to work in such an impactful environment with the opportunity to change lives on a daily basis.” Being born and raised in Tacoma, Jamal is honored to “represent such a compassionate, driven company that shares the same vision” all while being in his own backyard.
Born in Anchorage, Alaska- Nowhere else has been home to me! I loved growing up just outside of Anchorage enough to not be involved in the city life too much, yet made sure to prove to be a hardworking individual; My journey brought me to Opti Staffing Group and I must say that it has been such a joy to work for such a progressive company. Each day I do my best to bring a bright sun shining attitude to my office and I hope to provide the help anyone needs to excel. Beyond that, I’m just working on becoming a better person than I was the day before. Really what more can we ask of ourselves? Well, I think that’s about it for now. Stay classy, my friends.

I have a strong passion for the finance and non-profit worlds. I grew up in the world of finance and studied the non-profit world at the University of Iowa where I graduated with two degrees and a lot of experiences. However, I excel in placing high level positions in any and all industries.
